INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Tyrese Haliburton made a fadeaway 3-pointer while being fouled and completed the four-point play with 3.4 seconds left, and the Indiana Pacers stunned Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks 115-114. Haliburton ran along the left sideline, took an inbounds pass from Andrew Nembhard and launched a 3 while falling out of bounds, absorbing contact by Antetokounmpo, and the ball found the net with Haliburton sprawled on the floor in the corner. Antetokounmpo’s 3-pointer at the buzzer fell short. Haliburton, who had missed the last three games with a hip injury, finished with 14 points and 10 assists.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Mats Zuccarello scored the winner in the shootout after also scoring in regulation to give the Minnesota Wild a 2-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche. Matt Boldy scored the second goal in the shootout for the Wild, while Filip Gustavsson made 27 saves. Joel Kiviranta scored for the Avalanche and Mackenzie Blackwood stopped 22 shots. Zuccarello opened the shootout with a goal, and Gustavsson stoned Nathan MacKinnon on the other end. After Boldy scored, Martin Necas’ rush trickled off the end of his stick to give Minnesota the win.
OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) — Alex Vasko scored twice and the Ottawa Charge had a big 3-2 win over the Minnesota Frost on Tuesday night. They also had a huge loss in the same game. Moments after earning a standing ovation for her 1,000th career regular-season save, Emerance Maschmeyer left the game in visible duress. Maschmeyer had stopped all 19 shots she faced from the Minnesota Frost but on the 20th Taylor Heise got a puck through traffic and the Ottawa netminder was unable to finish the game. The Charge led 2-1 with 8:55 left to play when backup goalie Gwyneth Philips, who made one save, came in to mop up.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings are continuing their aggressive reconstruction of the interior lines in free agency. They agreed to terms on contracts with former Washington Commanders defensive tackle Jonathan Allen and former Indianapolis Colts guard Will Fries. Allen is a two-time Pro Bowl pick who was released last week for salary cap savings. The 6-foot-3, 300-pound Allen had been Washington’s second-longest-tenured player after being drafted in the first round in 2017. Fries is a 26-year-old who followed center Ryan Kelly from the Colts to the Vikings. Kelly has four Pro Bowl selections.
