(Milwaukee, WI) — Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to be out of the lineup for one-to-two weeks with a low-grade left groin injury. Missing one week would keep him out for three home games, starting with Thursday’s contest against the Philadelphia 76ers. ESPN reports that Milwaukee has lost two of the three games when Antetokounmpo hasn’t taken the court this season. He is averaging 31 points and 11 rebounds per game.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Cade Tyson scored 22 points and Minnesota beat Chicago State 66-54. Marcus Tankersley scored 16 points for Chicago State. After close to three minutes of scoreless basketball by the two, Stephen Byard made a basket to put the Cougars ahead by a point. Crocker-Johnson’s layup with 6:38 left gave Chicago State the lead for good.

Blackwell is also on the College Player of the Year Watch list, the preseason All-Big Ten team, and the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Watch List. UWBadgers-dot-com reports that he’s averaging 19-and-a-half points a game after putting up almost 16 per outing last season. Blackwell and his Badgers teammates try to stay unbeaten when they meet BYU on the road Friday afternoon.

(Milwaukee, WI) — Veteran pitcher Brandon Woodruff has accepted the Brewers’ qualified offer to stay with the team for the 2026 Major League Baseball season. He will be paid just over 22 million dollars under the terms of the deal. Things are a little different this offseason because four-of-13 players receiving a qualifying offer have accepted. Over the last 13 years, fewer than 10 percent of the players receiving those offers have accepted.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Twins have taken a small step toward rebuilding their bullpen by acquiring right-handed reliever Eric Orze in a trade with the Tampa Bay Rays for minor league pitcher Jacob Kisting. Orze had a 3.02 ERA and three saves in 33 relief appearances last season for the Rays. The 28-year-old Orze, a cancer survivor, also pitched for Triple-A Durham in 2025. He was a fifth-round draft pick in 2020 by the New York Mets. The Twins dealt away their top four relievers, Jhoan Duran, Griffin Jax, Louis Varland and Brock Stewart, during the week leading up to the July 31 trade deadline.
(Green Bay, WI) — The Packers offense needs to match its leader’s performance. The numbers from Sunday’s 27-20 win over the Giants sound unimpressive: 13-of-24 passes complete for 174 yards and two touchdowns. Pro Football Focus points out the four passes that receivers dropped while giving Love a 93.1 grade for the game. That’s the highest grade for any NFL quarterback during Week 11. He was also more successful throwing “down the field” passes than any other quarterback. PFF says Green Bay’s supporting cast has to be better when the team takes on the Minnesota Vikings.
