(Toronto, ON) — The Bucks dropped a one-sided game in Toronto Tuesday night, 128-100. The two teams have split a pair of games this year. Milwaukee was misfiring from long range, hitting only 11-of-38 3-point attempts. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 22 points and Kyle Kuzma had 18. The Bucks host the Chicago Bulls Friday night.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Marcus Johansson scored at 3:38 of overtime with the goal off its moorings and the Minnesota Wild overcame a last-second tying goal to beat the Nashville Predators 3-2 on Tuesday night. Predators goalie Justus Annunen knocked the goal out of place as he backed up on a rush. Johansson’s first shot hit the moving net and he got the puck back and slid it across the line. After a review, the goal was ruled good. Steven Stamkos tied it for Nashville with 0.3 seconds left in regulation and Annunen off for an extra attacker, beating the clock and goalie Filip Gustavsson with a one-timer from the left side. Minnesota closed a six-game homestand with consecutive victories after dropping the first four.

(Green Bay, WI) — The Packers were quiet at the deadline but could still have at least one move to make. The Athletic-dot-com reports Green Bay could sign former Chargers cornerback Asante Samuel Junior. He hasn’t played this season while recovering from spinal fusion surgery in April. The Packers’ secondary has been the team’s weak spot in the first half of the season. Injuries mean there is very little depth with experience on the active roster now.

(Madison, WI) — The Badgers are 11-and-a-half-point underdogs for their game at Camp Randall Stadium Saturday. The Washington Huskies have a 3-and-2 record in conference and 6-and-2 overall. The offense is led by running back Jonah Coleman, who has scored 15 touchdowns. Quarterback Demond Williams Junior has the second-highest completion percentage of any major college quarterback this season. He is number-eight in pass efficiency.

Ohio State received top billing in the first College Football Playoff rankings of the season, followed by Indiana, Texas A&M and Alabama. The top three head into the final four weeks of the regular season undefeated. Another team with no losses, BYU of the Big 12, was ranked seventh. At No. 5 was Georgia, followed by Mississippi. All of the top six came from either the Big Ten or Southeastern Conference — a dose of business as usual despite a season that has been anything but predictable.

(Milwaukee, WI) — The Brewers have declined the options for three players. First baseman Rhys Hoskins and pitcher Jose Quintana will become free agents due to the moves. Catcher William Contreras remains under team control even though his 12-million-dollar team option was declined. Contreras won’t be a free agent until after the 2027 season.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Derek Shelton took full advantage of the unexpected time off he had earlier this year after being fired early in his sixth season as manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Shelton deeply assessed the approach he used, the adjustments he made and the lessons he learned and used the candid reflection to persuade the Minnesota Twins to hire him as their next manager. Twins president Derek Falvey said the club was harder on Shelton during the interview process because of their pre-existing relationship. Shelton said he doesn’t believe he would’ve gotten the job had he not taken the time to reflect.
