(Milwaukee, WI) — The Bucks owned the second half in their 121-111 win over the New York Knicks Tuesday night. Milwaukee had trailed by a dozen points at halftime, but outscored the visitors 62-40 the rest of the way. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 37, and he got 25-point help from Ryan Rollins. The Bucks connected on more than half of their shots again, 54 percent, while going 14-of-34 on 3-pointers. They’re back in action again on Thursday against the Golden State Warriors.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a two-run homer off Shohei Ohtani, Shane Bieber pitched four-hit ball into the sixth inning, and the Toronto Blue Jays shook off their epic 18-inning loss to even the World Series with a 6-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 4. Ohtani redefined the concept of short rest by taking the mound just more than 17 hours after he reached base nine times in Game 3, but he gave up four runs and six hits while pitching into the seventh. The Blue Jays reclaimed homefield advantage and guaranteed the World Series trophy will be won at Rogers Centre in Toronto.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Kyle Connor’s wrist shot 46 seconds into overtime gave the Winnipeg Jets a 4-3 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night, their ninth straight win against their Central Division rival. Nino Niederreiter scored the tying goal midway through the third period for the Jets, who took a 2-0 lead in the first when Gabriel Vilardi and Vladislav Namestnikov scored on deflected shots 22 seconds apart. Kirill Kaprizov and Brock Faber scored in the second period, and Marcus Johansson got the go-ahead goal on a power play early in the third for the Wild, who outshot the Jets 38-22.

(Madison, WI) — The Wisconsin men’s basketball program has dismissed forward Elijah Gray. Tuesday’s news release indicates the action taken is connected to “events preceding his enrollment” at UW-Madison. The university says privacy laws prevent the school from sharing more information about what the decision was based on. Gray transferred from Temple last summer.

(Green Bay, WI) — The early line has the Packers set as a 13-point favorite in their home game against the Carolina Panthers. ESPN gives Green Bay a 76-percent chance of winning the game. The next game is against the Philadelphia Eagles, so coach Matt LaFleur’s biggest job may be to keep his team from overlooking the Panthers. Carolina was steamrolled 40-9 by Buffalo in its last game.

Carson Wentz dislocated his left, non-throwing shoulder, tearing his labrum and fracturing the socket, in the first half of a game for the Vikings in London on Oct. 5 and kept playing, according to two people with knowledge of the injury. Wentz threw a game-winning 12-yard touchdown pass. and then started the next two games. Both people, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team hasn’t announced the severity of the injury, said the decision to start Wentz was mutual because the team’s medical staff determined he wasn’t at risk of further damaging the shoulder and it was a matter of pain tolerance.

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Three former Badgers basketball teammates are together again. Badgers Wire-dot-com reports that John Tonje, Steven Crowl, and Max Klesmit have been signed to the Salt Lake City Stars’ training camp roster. The Stars are the G League affiliate for the Utah Jazz. Tonje has signed a two-way contract with the Jazz. The Stars’ season starts November 11th.

NEW YORK (AP) — Two people familiar with the decision say the WNBA has offered players a 30-day extension to continue negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement. The people spoke to The Associated Press on Tuesday night on condition of anonymity because no official announcement has been made. The current CBA is set to expire on Friday and tensions have been rising in recent weeks as the sides try to work toward a new deal. In 2019, when the last CBA deal had expired, the two sides agreed to a 60-day extension and eventually ratified the current CBA in January 2020. ESPN was the first to report the extension offer.
