MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — You can step into Wisconsin history this summer.
Wisconsin Historical Society Statewide Services Coordinator Mallory Hanson says the History Maker’s tour brings history directly to local communities.
“So it includes pop-up exhibits. We have some artifact displays, author talks as well as special events,” Hanson said.
“One of them is an outdoor display that features a historic image from the society collections that is going to be scaled up to life-size proportions that’s built in photo opportunities so you can really step into history and immerse yourself.”
The History Maker’s Tour launched in 2023 and is leading up to the opening of the new downtown Madison Wisconsin History Center in 2027.
