MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Three voters supported by the Wisconsin Democratic Party have filed a lawsuit against the state elections commission, seeking a ruling that would allow for voters who have already returned their absentee ballots to void those and request a new one.
The move Thursday would allow for voters who have already cast their ballot for a candidate who has dropped out of the chaotic Democratic primary election to cast a new ballot.
Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez dropped out last week and a day later Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, who had bowed out on July 8, reentered the race.
