MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — The Wisconsin Veterans Museum has been honoring and celebrating the state’s vets for 125 years.
Director Chris Kolakowski says although the museum is located in Madison it has a statewide mission.
“Whether you’re from Superior, whether you’re from Milwaukee, whether you’re from Madison, whether you’re from Green Bay, whether you’re from Eau Claire, Prairie du Chien, anywhere in between, you’re going to find somebody or something in here that is going to connect with you. We want everybody that walks through our doors to connect with us, connect with what we have here and on display in our stories in some way” Kolakowski said.
The museum located on the Capitol square is free and open every day except Monday. It hopes to have a new and bigger facility by 2030.
