Spring cleaning can be tough, especially for kids who might not want to get rid of their things.

UW Health pediatrician Megan Yanny says parents can model that behavior.

“So talking about someone else is going to love this more than us. Someone else is going to use this more than us. We don’t use this. So I think it’s time to get it out of the house and give it to someone who needs it more. So modeling that behavior for kids with their own clothes, with their own things in the home,” Yanny said.

Yanny says getting kids involved in spring cleaning can help them develop life-long skills.
