GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Green Bay Packers president/CEO Ed Policy says the decision to keep coach Matt LaFleur and general manager Brian Gutekunst after a late-season collapse was a matter of choosing continuity over chaos. LaFleur, Gutekunst and executive vice president/director of football operations Russ Ball all received contract extensions after the Packers’ 2025 season ended with five straight losses. That included a 31-27 road defeat against the Chicago Bears in the NFC wild-card playoff round. Policy was speaking Monday at the annual shareholders meeting for the NFL’s only publicly owned franchise.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Three-time Pro Bowler Jamal Adams says he’s joining the Minnesota Vikings on the eve of training camp. Adams announced the move on social media Monday night, posting “Year 10” and the Vikings’ “skol” hashtag. Adams has played multiple positions during his nine-year NFL career and played linebacker in 17 games with the Las Vegas Raiders last season. Adams was the seventh overall pick of the 2017 NFL draft by the New York Jets and twice was a Pro Bowler for them. He was a first-team All-Pro safety in 2019 went to the Pro Bowl again in 2020 with Seattle before struggling with injuries.
