RICE LAKE, Wis. (NWN) — Authorities identify the man injured in a motorcycle crash on Highway 53 near Haugen on Sunday afternoon.
The State Patrol said 43-year-old David W. Westerlund, of Sarona, had lifethreatening injuries when he crashed his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle in the median of southbound Highway 53, near Long Lake Avenue, in Washburn County.
Westerlund may have been impaired by alcohol when his motorcycle clipped the left rear of another vehicle, lost control and crashed. He was airlifted to a hospital in Duluth.
