MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul is backing a legal fight by Minnesota against the Trump Administration.
Kaul joined a number of Democratic attorneys general in filing a brief in support of the state’s legal efforts to remove ICE from Minneapolis.
“What’s happening in Minnesota is not happening in isolation. This is a test run for what may happen elsewhere, and so we need to make sure that no community in Wisconsin or elsewhere around the country is going to be subjected to this kind of intimidation and violation of people’s rights,” Kaul said.
Kaul says the White House has already started to pull back thanks to the efforts of protestors, and following the shooting deaths of two people by federal agents.
