History of Maple Syrup in Barron County

Join the Blue Hills Genealogical Society Thursday, April 3, 2025, 3:30 p.m. at the Barron Senior Center for a presentation by Ted Simpson on The History of Maple Syruping in Barron County. The program is free and open to the public. Maple syrup treats will also be available. The Blue Hills Genealogical Society meets monthly at the Barron Senior Center with informative programs on history and genealogy. The Society maintains a Resource Library in Cameron where they preserve and store materials of a genealogical nature. If you would like to research your family history there, make an appointment with Rosella Amundson,, 715-537-5760. If you
have questions on researching your ancestors, Rosella is also available to help with your research.
Those that have ancestors that lived in Barron County by 1871 for a pioneer certificate or 1925 for a century certificate may apply for a certificate by going to the BHGS website at www.bhgsbc.org and clicking on the certificate tab to get the form and instructions for the certificates.
