TURTLE LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — Residents north of Turtle Lake were told to shelter in place for three hours for a gas leak on Monday afternoon.
Dispatch logs said the gas leak was caused when crews installing underground fiber optic lines hit a natural gas main line along First Street, north of Turtle Lake.
The Mosaic Technologies crew contacted authorities, which alerted local residents and contacted WE Energies, who responded to repair the leak. The issue was resolved safely by 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
