RICE LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — Today is election day with some local, non-partisan primary elections for local municipalities.
It will narrow the field down to two candidates for each elected office, to be chosen on April 7. Not all elections require a primary, and some places may have no primary election at all.
There is a primary for mayor in Menomonie. The three candidates are Grady Richartz, incumbent Randy Knaak and Matthew Crowe.
In Glenwood City School District, the primary will choose two school board member candidates. They are Lisa Kaiser, Amy Dopkins, Tony Mielzarek, Nicole Miller and Steve Davis.
In Rusk County Supervisor District 1, there are three primary candidates: Terry DuSell, Thomas Moran and Alec Hampton.
In St. Croix County Supervisor District 2, there are three primary candidates. They are Todd Peterson, Dani Erickson and Justin Terbeest.

Wisconsin requires a photo ID to be able to vote at the polls. That could be a driver’s license or ID card issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles. It could also be a federally issued form of ID like a passport, military or veteran ID card, tribal ID or a certificate of naturalization. A student ID issued by an accredited Wisconsin college, university or technical college can also be used. There is no separate “voter ID”, and a federally compliant REAL ID card is not required for voting purposes.
