BALSAM LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — A rider is dead after a motorcycle crash on Highway 65, south of Balsam Lake on Monday morning.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said the rider was driving south on Highway 65 and lost control on the curve near Bear Lake Drive, just before 9:30 a.m. The motorcycle struck the guardrail. Speed is believed to be a cause of the crash.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. A name will be released at a later date and the crash was under investigation.
