MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — Wisconsin has seen a big drop in the number of overdose deaths in recent years.
“The last three years we’ve seen some positive downward trends in terms of overdose than in Wisconsin, around 30% decrease over the last year, so roughly 600 fewer people having died from overdose in the last year,” said UW Health Dr. Randall Brown.
Brown says increased access to information and tools to prevent overdoses have been big factors in reducing overdose deaths.
