BALSAM LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — Polk County Snowmobile Trails opened this morning, Monday, Dec. 15.
Lake trails are not marked and swamps could have water in them. The Gandy Dancer State Trail is open to frozen ground ATV and UTV use. The Stower Seven Lakes State Trail is not open to snowmobile use.
Barron County Snowmobile Trails remain closed as of Monday. ATV trails are open year-round, including the Cattail State Trail, Wild Rivers State Trail and various on-road routes.
