ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Ross Colton and Parker Kelly each scored their first goals of the postseason in the third period for Colorado as the Avalanche snapped back from a midseries lull and beat the Minnesota Wild 5-2 in Game 4 to take a 3-1 lead in the second round of the NHL playoffs. Mackenzie Blackwood made 19 saves in his first start this postseason after relieving Scott Wedgewood during the 5-1 loss in Game 3. The Avalanche moved within one win of the Western Conference finals. Danila Yurov and Nico Sturm scored for the Wild.

The fifth and deciding game of the PWHL’s semifinal playoff series between Minnesota and Montreal scheduled for Monday night has been postponed. The league announced Game 5 between the Frost and Victoire would not take place in Laval, Quebec, as planned because of player safety concerns related to an illness. It has been rescheduled for Tuesday night. The winner will face the Ottawa Charge in the Walter Cup Final.

(Milwaukee, WI) — Bucks co-owner Wesley Edens is the alleged victim of a sextortion scheme headed for trial in a federal court. Prosecutors say 46-year-old Changli “Sophia” Luo tried to blackmail Edens for one billion dollars. Luo has pleaded not guilty. Edens is divorced. He met Luo about four years ago, and they had a brief encounter. Authorities say the Chinese woman also contacted members of Edens’ family. At one point, prosecutors say he agreed to a settlement of more than six million dollars.

(Madison, WI) — The Badgers softball team has earned an at-large bid to this year’s NCAA tournament. Wisconsin will play in the regional hosted by the Texas Longhorns. Texas is the favorite, but coach Yvette Healy’s team is favored in its first game against Baylor. The Badgers carry a 32-and-19 record after making it to the semifinals of this year’s Big Ten tournament.

(Green Bay, WI) — Packers coaches think they may have found a gem in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Defensive tackle Chris McClellan of Missouri was selected with the 77th pick. At the time, analysts said that was a reach after Green Bay traded up to get him. The 6-foot-4, 313-pounder has been impressive in the Packers’ rookie minicamp. Coaches say McClellan showed a quick grasp of the game, and he could give the defense the run-stopper it needs, while adding to the pass rush at the same time.

EAGAN, Minn. (AP) — Adrian Peterson is getting inducted into the Minnesota Vikings’ ring of honor. The Vikings announced Monday that Peterson would be inducted during halftime of a home game at some point during the upcoming season. No specific date has been announced. The NFL isn’t releasing its full 2026 schedule until Thursday. Peterson will become the 29th person to join the Vikings’ ring of honor. Peterson played for the Vikings from 2007-16. He owns franchise records for career yards rushing (11,747) and touchdown runs (97).
