BARRON, Wis. (WJMC) — The Barron County Sheriff’s Department says local snowmobile clubs, which maintain the trails and trail markers, report intentional damage to trail markers on Rice Lake and the Chetek Chain of Lakes.
The sheriff’s department said it was likely by a UTV that now has some damage from running over markers and signs. Other counties are reporting similar vandalism.
Anyone with information, or who witnesses trail vandalism, should report it to the local sheriff’s department.
