MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — The public access channel that covers the Wisconsin Legislature is facing a fiscal crisis.
Wisconsin Eye CEO Jon Henkes is hoping that a grant from the state can sustain programming.
“$10 million designated for Wisconsin Eye in a dollar for dollar match to build a permanent $20 million endowment,” Henkes said.
WisEye needs over 800-thousand dollars immediately to cover next year’s operating budget. Henkes says he’s in talks with private donors to come up with that, but hopes the Legislature would be willing to donate more of that 10 million dollars directly.
