MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — Republican candidate for Wisconsin governor, Tom Tiffany was asked this week whether he thinks President Trumps threats towards Iran are appropriate.
Tiffany said most people think Iran should not have nuclear weapons and that its military should be degraded. He also said decades of diplomacy have not decreased the threat:
“And they’ve spoken in that diplomatic speak and it has not worked. It has not been successful. I mean, these are people who are terrorists. They understand harsh language. They understand tough language. They are not like we, the American people,” Tiffany said.
The 7th District congressman commented during a press conference at the Capitol in Madison on Wednesday. He’s already been endorsed by the president.
