RICE LAKE, Wis. (NWN) — Tips from the public have led to the arrest of three burglary suspects in Rice Lake.
This week, police were investigating the burglary of a business on North Wilson Avenue, where surveillance video showed three suspects breaking into and stealing a window air conditioner and a wheelchair. Photos were shared with the public, which quickly led to tips from the public.
Police said the suspects were 19-year-old Dallas M. Smith, of Cumberland; 21-year-old Malachi R. Trudell, of Shell Lake; and an unnamed juvenile. Theft and burglary charges and a juvenile referral with the county DHHS have been filed.
The stolen property was recovered and returned to the owner.
