MENOMONIE, Wis. (WJMC) — A small plane from Menomonie crashed in Illinois Saturday morning, killing all four people on board.
Authorities in Coles County, Illinois, said the victims were 46-year-old Ross Nelson, 45-year-old Raimi Rundle, 36-year-old Courtney Morrow, and 48-year-old Michael Morrow, all of Menomonie.
The Cessna 180 had flown from Menomonie to Tennessee on Wednesday and was flying north from Tennessee on Saturday, according to the online flight tracker FlightAware. Local media reported the plane impacted power lines and crashed into the ground near Trilla, Illinois, around 10:15 a.m. Saturday.
The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration were investigating the crash.
