RICE LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — The Barron County Fair hosted their 60th Junior Livestock Sale, once again breaking records, and shattering the previous high.
The sale featured 96 lots of beef, market lambs, and hogs.
Total sales were $348,730, another record, and a huge jump from the previous high sale last year of $288,189.
Total beef sales, up from last year, with a record $190,215. High sale for beef was $13,501, high price $9.00.
Total hog sales were $115,332. High hog was $4,760, and high price $17.00 per pound.
Total lamb sales $37,734. The high lamb sale, $2,783, and high price $23 per pound.
And three boxes of cheese were sold for the Quality Milk category for dairy exhibitors of three different lactations. Total sales $5,450, with the high sale of $1,850.
