WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (WRN) — Wisconsin Republicans gather for their convention over the weekend in the Wisconsin Dells.

Party members unanimously endorsed 7th District congressman Tom Tiffany as their candidate for governor. Tiffany rallied the crowd during his acceptance speech.

“Do you want four more years of decline?”// “NO!” // “Do you want a socialist that will abolish the police?” // “NO!” // “Do you want higher taxes, more government, and less freedom?” // “NO!” // “No, we don’t,” Tiffany said to responses from the audience.

Tiffany said he’s prepared to take on what he called failed leadership in Madison. He’s been endorsed by President Donald Trump. Tiffany’s Democratic opponent in November will come from a wide field of candidates, none of whom have yet pulled ahead as a front-runner. Current Governor Tony Evers declined a run for a third term.
