MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — Seven Democratic candidates for governor discuss their health plans and vision for Wisconsin. Here is former

Department of Administration Secretary Joel Brennan:
“Ensuring that we have broader access, especially in rural parts of our state, reducing costs wherever we can on families, on businesses, on the infrastructure that provides healthcare, making sure that we have the pathway towards the workforce we need over the next decade, and making sure mental health is part of basic healthcare infrastructure,” Brennan said.

Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation CEO Missy Hughes:
“So when you talk about costs, it includes creating a public option. When you think about access, it’s making sure that we increase the number of providers all around the state. It’s incredibly important that you have access directly to what you need. And then finally, quality,” Hughes said.

Throughout this week, we’ll hear from other candidates, including former Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, current Lt. Governor Sarah Rodriquez, Madison State Senator Kelda Roys, Madison State Senator Kelda Roys, and Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley.

The event was hosted by Wisconsin Health News last week, who said they hope to get Republican candidate Tom Tiffany to an event to detail his health plan for Wisconsin.

The primary election is August 11th.
