MILLTOWN, Wis. (WJMC) — The driver killed in a head-on collision near Milltown on Friday has been named.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said the victim was 48-year-old Maria Scheider, of Grantsburg.
She was killed when her SUV was hit head-on by a pickup that had swerved to avoid other traffic slowing for wildlife crossing the road. Two other drivers had less severe injuries.
