Flags will fly at half-staff across the state Friday in honor of Milwaukee Police Officer Kendall Corder.
Governor Tony Evers has ordered flags flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset in honor of Corder, who was killed in the line of duty in late June. Evers says his heart breaks for Corder, his family, loved ones and colleagues at the Milwaukee Police Department. Corder was responding to a shots fired call in Milwaukee when he was shot and killed.
Evers previously ordered flags to half-staff immediately following Corder’s death until July 1. The flags will again be lowered on the day of his interment.
