TWIN CITIES, Minn. (WJMC) — An extreme heat watch is issued for Friday.
The National Weather Service says heat indices could reach 100 degrees Friday afternoon to evening in Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Sawyer and Washburn counties.
Risks are elevated for heat-related illnesses. Drink plenty of water, stay out of the sun, stay in air-conditioned rooms and check on relatives and neighbors.
