MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — Another Democrat enters the race for governor.

Former State Representative Brett Hulsey announced his candidacy Wednesday. Hulsey served on the Dane County Board for 14 years and represented the Madison area in the state Assembly from 2011 to 2015. He ran for governor in 2014, losing in the Democratic Primary to Mary Burke.

Hulsey is the sixth Democrat to join the race to succeed Governor Tony Evers, who is declining a third term. His announcement came a day after seventh district congressman Tom Tiffany became the third republican to enter the race.
