MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — Governor Tony Evers signs an Executive Order to ensure vaccine availability across Wisconsin.
The order announced Monday gives the state’s Department of Health Services authority to monitor and review recommendations continuously, issue guidance on COVID-19 vaccines and determine whether any additional measures are necessary. The action comes as the Trump Administration considers softening or eliminating recommendations for the COVID vaccine and some childhood immunizations, something Evers calls ‘reckless and dangerous’.
The order has Wisconsin joining 14 other states to create an alternative to federal vaccine protocols.
