MADISON, Wis. (NWN) — High temperatures through the week could result in buckled pavement and drivers should watch out.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says when the weather goes from cool to hot quickly, pavement slabs can expand, push against each other and buckle, creating bumps or dips.
Slow down, buckle up and stay focused on the road ahead. Watch for slowing traffic, other hazards and move over for
crews repairing roads.
If you see a serious hazard, report by calling 911.
Check 511WI.gov before you go for the latest reports on incidents or travel delays.
