MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — An official with the Tony Evers administration is leaving.

The Democratic governor announces that Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation Secretary and CEO Missy Hughes will resign the position effective September 19. Hughes joined the Evers administration in 2019 following confirmation by the state Senate. Prior to that she served as general counsel and chief mission officer at Wisconsin based dairy cooperative Organic Valley.

A search for a successor is underway and Evers expects to announce that person in the coming weeks.
