RICE LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — The 55th Hungry Hollow show is Saturday and Sunday.

The summer show of Hungry Hollow Steam and Gas Engine Club returns this weekend, this year featuring International Harvester.

The show includes a tractor pull and pedal pull, horse pull, steam and gas engines, equipment demonstrations, pancake breakfasts, flea market, area musicians, and much more. New this year, a dedicated kids area, that will include an old combine that kids can climb.

“We’ve cleaned it all out. We built a deck. We actually have a slide off it, as well. And the kids will be able to go up, and sit in the cab, run the controls, nothing’s going to move. And then they can slide down the slide,” said Hungry Hollow member Mark Gargulak. “Also, in that area, we have swings out there. And tents set up with WHAT’s ITs. And they’re old time tools for the kids to try to figure out what they did. We’re going to have Mike Messner’s sand box there. It’s going to be a fun area for the kids.”

Gates open at 7 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday, at their grounds on the corner of Highway 25 and 19th Avenue, north of Barron. Admission is a 10-dollar commemorative button, which is good both Saturday and Sunday. Kids under age 12 are free. For event details, visit HungryHollowClub.com.
