MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WRN) — A majority of Wisconsinites polled don’t want Governor Tony Evers to run for a third term.

That’s the finding from the latest Marquette Law School Poll. The numbers released Wednesday show that 83% of Democrats want Evers to seek re-election, while 93% of Republicans say they’re opposed to a third Evers term. The key factor in the poll is independents, who came out against another Evers run by a 50% to 37% margin.

The survey polled 873 registered Wisconsin voters from June 13th through the 19th, with a margin of error of plus-or-minus 4.7 percentage points.
