RICE LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — One of the new owners of Lehman’s Supper Club and Lounge discusses their first few weeks.

Earlier in November, Lehman’s Supper Club in Rice Lake announced that the restaurant had been sold to Jason and Paige Karnes. The couple also owns Tippy Canoes Sports Pub & Grub in Osceola, and Jason Karnes says that the Lehman’s longevity was a big draw in buying the business.

“Met Butch and Trudy. They were super nice, super friendly. Walked us around, checked everything out. And it was absolutely amazing, for 91 years it’s been around. I was blown away by it,” Karnes said.

Karnes also says his first weeks of owning Lehman’s have been positive, and that he doesn’t plan on changing their history of service anytime soon.
“Everything has been going pretty well. Butch and Trudy, leading us into the right direction and so forth. So we’ll really be able to, you know, focus on that 91-year-old legacy that they’ve had and continue to hold that tradition and keep moving forward,” Karnes said.
