BALDWIN, Wis. (NWN) — A motorcycle rider has died from after a crash with a vehicle Thursday evening.

The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office said a Pontiac Vibe, driven by a 16-year-old from Baldwin, was driving east on 90th Avenue. The driver was making a left hand turn north on to 220th Street and drove into the path of a 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle, ridden by 57-year-old Darin S. Ofstie, of Baldwin.

Ofstie was not wearing a helmet and suffered critical injuries. He was airlifted to Regions Hospital in the cities, where he later died from his injuries.

The 16-year-old driver was treated for minor injuries. The crash was under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
