FREDERIC, Wis. (WJMC) — A motorcycle rider is dead following a crash with a trailer pulled by a pickup.
The State Patrol said the crash happened just before 3:15 p.m. on Sunday on Polk County Highway I, east of Frederic.
A motorcycle, driven by 70-year-old Rodney Bodell, of Rush City, Minnesota, had turned south on to County I. At the same time, a Ford F-350, pulling a trailer, was driving north around a curve, when the trailer overturned and crossed into the southbound lane, striking the motorcycle and rider.
Bodell was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the pickup, 38-year-old Joseph Trenter, of Webster, was not injured.
The crash was under investigation by the State Patrol.
