WASHINGTON, D.C. (WRN) — US Senator Tammy Baldwin joins fellow Democrats to condemn Trump Administration plans to cut Mediaid.
Baldwin says House Republicans are trying to mask the cuts through other bills.
“They’re trying to hide what they’re doing, but at the end of the day, the result is the same. Fewer Americans will have health care and the most wealthy people will get tax breaks,” Baldwin said.
House Republicans introduced those plans this week as part of a bill that includes tax cuts. The measures include reducing eligibility for Medicaid, increased paperwork to pay for medications, and reducing payments to run state Medicaid programs.
