Southbound Highway 53 will be closed and detoured between Chetek and New Auburn, Friday night through Saturday morning.
The closure is for bridge work and is weather dependent. Starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, southbound traffic will be detoured on County Highway I in Chetek, south on County Highway SS, on to County Highway M and back on to Highway 53 at New Auburn.
The detour will end 6 a.m. on Saturday.
