(AP) — Green Bay’s Josh Jacobs is practicing with the Packers while prosecutors consider whether to file charges against the three-time Pro Bowl running back following his arrest on domestic abuse allegations. Jacobs was on the field Tuesday for the Packers’ second week of organized team activities. Packers coach Matt LaFleur said before practice that Jacobs’ situation hasn’t caused distractions. Hobart/Lawrence Police Chief Michael Renkas said police had been dispatched to a complaint involving Jacobs on the morning of May 23.
(Milwaukee, WI) — Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo makes it apparent he wants his next home team to be the Heat. Antetokounmpo hasn’t officially demanded a trade yet, but he has said the Miami club is the only one where he would be willing to accept a long-term contract extension. Very few NBA teams would give up the king’s ransom of players and draft picks the Bucks are seeking if the two-time MVP were a short-term investment.
(Pittsburgh, PA) — Another former Wisconsin Badger standout has struck it rich in the NFL. Edge rusher Nick Herbig has reached an agreement with the Pittsburgh Steelers on a four-year contract extension worth 100 million dollars – 42 million of it fully guaranteed. Herbig is 24 years old. He had his best NFL season in 2025 with seven and a half sacks, three forced fumbles, and 30 tackles. He is teammates with another former Badger, T-J Watt, who is playing on a huge contract himself.
