(Milwaukee, WI) — The Brewers’ dominant pitching by starters paved the way to Tuesday’s 6-0 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Kyle Harrison followed Jacob Misiorowski’s scoreless start Monday with six shutout innings, good for his sixth win. The normally powerless Brewers got home runs from Jake Bauers and Garrett Mitchell. Milwaukee goes for the sweep this afternoon (Wednesday) with Chad Patrick scheduled to start a “bullpen game.”

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Logan Henderson has been placed on the injured list with a lower back strain. The Brewers announced Tuesday they were putting Henderson on the 15-day injured list, though the move is retroactive to Saturday. The Brewers recalled pitcher Coleman Crow from Triple-A Nashville to fill Henderson’s spot on the roster.
(Appleton, WI) — The Brewers could use a power bat in the lineup, but they may have to wait a couple of years for it to come from their own minor league system. Milwaukee number-six prospect, Andrew Fischer, is knocking the cover off the ball with the Single-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. In 36 games, Fischer has 13 home runs, 33 runs batted in, a .266 batting average, a .626 slugging average, and an OPS of 1.012. He’s pounded four homers in his last six games. The 22-year-old left-handed batter is expected to be promoted to the team’s Double-A affiliate soon.
CHICAGO (AP) — Brooks Lee hit a bases-loaded double in the 11th inning and the Minnesota Twins beat the Chicago White Sox 5-3 on Tuesday night. The Twins improved to 4-1 on their 10-game road trip and have won seven of nine overall. They had lost seven straight against the White Sox, last winning on Aug. 22, 2025. Luke Keaschall singled in the 11th and Byron Buxton drew a walk with an ABS challenge to load the bases for Lee. He cleared them on the third pitch he saw and gave Minnesota a 5-2 lead.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 32 points, Alex Caruso led another strong bench effort with 22 and the Oklahoma City Thunder moved one win away from a return trip to the NBA Finals by beating the San Antonio Spurs 127-114 on Tuesday night. Jared McCain — getting the call with Jalen Williams and Ajay Mitchell both sidelined — scored 20 in his first playoff start for the Thunder, who now lead the Western Conference finals 3-2. Stephon Castle scored 24 points for San Antonio, which got 22 points from Julian Champagnie and 20 points from Victor Wembanyama — who was held to 4 of 15 shooting.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Mark Stone and Cole Smith scored for Vegas and the Golden Knights suffocated Colorado’s high-powered offense to beat the Avalanche 2-1 on Tuesday night and for an unthinkable sweep to make their third Stanley Cup Final in nine seasons. The Golden Knights will get a break while they watch to see whether Carolina or Montreal emerge from the Eastern Conference Final. This is a crushing end for an Avalanche team that won the Presidents’ Trophy and had blown through the playoffs with an 8-1 record. Chicago in 2013 was the last team to claim the Presidents’ Trophy and the Stanley Cup in the same season.
(Hobart, WI) — Packers running back Josh Jacobs is denying domestic assault accusations. Hobart-Lawrence police responded to a report of a domestic incident Saturday morning. Jacobs turned himself in. He’s being held in the Brown County Jail on charges of battery-domestic abuse, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, strangulation and suffocation, and victim intimidation.
