WEBSTER, Wis. (NWN) — Three UTV riders are dead after a crash Saturday evening in Burnett County.
Sheriff Tracy Finch said a UTV was hit by a Dodge pickup just after 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, northeast of Webster. The UTV was driving north on Connors Bridge Road and failed to stop at the intersection with County Highway A.
A pickup, driving west, struck the UTV, killing the driver, 69-year-old Gary Shreindl, of Anoka, Minnesota, and passegers, 68-year-old Constance Klatt, of Anoka, Minnesota, and 69-year-old Debra Dye, of Lodi, Ohio.
The pickup caught fire and was extinguished. The pickup driver, 21-year-old Ashton Erickson, of Webster, was taken to a local hospital with non-lifethreatening injuries.
The crash was under investigation by the sheriff’s office and Wisconsin DNR.
