WASHINGTON, D.C. (WRN) — A member of Wisconsin’s congressional delegation is assigning blame for the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
House Democrats Gwen Moore and Mark Pocan joined Wisconsin Republicans in posts to ‘X’ condemning the shooting and political violence.
But Third District Republican Derrick Van Orden went in the other direction on the social media platform. In a series of posts, Van Orden blamed Democrats and the media for Kirk’s murder, and declared “the gloves are off.”
Van Orden, who has had a contentious relationship with the media, also interacted with reporters at the U.S. Capitol Thursday
“You are responsible for that assassination yesterday, and you should be ashamed of yourselves,” Van Orden said.
