CABLE, Wis. (WJMC) — Some American Birkebeiner events have been moved due to this week’s warmer temperatures.
Event officials said the Birkie Trail is in great shape, but potential rain and lack of snow at the golf course is affecting other events.
The organization said Wednesday’s Open Track has been moved to Thursday.
And events on Thursday originally held in downtown Hayward, including the Barkie Birkie, Barne Birkie and Junior Birkie, have been moved to the trailhead at Mt. Telemark, in Cable.
The annual Giant Ski competition will still take place in downtown Hayward on Thursday.
