HAYWARD, Wis. (WJMC) — A vehicle weight limit of 80,000 pounds, or 40 tons, has been placed on State Highway 70, between County Highway GG in Sawyer County, and State Highway 13, in Price County.
This means overweight vehicles cannot travel on the road and those with forest product RS permits are asked to avoid it too.
WisDOT said the emergency load restriction will be in place until the roadway is resurfaced this summer.
The section of highway also has an advised speed limit of 45 mph.
