MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WRN) — School is right around the corner for Wisconsin high school and college students.
Marquette University marketing professor Alex Milovic offers a tip for students doing their own back to school shopping.
“In high school and beyond, use that first couple days when you’re getting all your classes to ask the teachers. What would you recommend me getting? Usually the teachers will tell you then so it’s more of kind of a real time purchase instead of an ahead of the time purchase,” Milovic said.
Milovic says parents of younger students should spread out spending and not be afraid to visit multiple retailers to find the best deals.
The National Retail Federation estimates families will spend an average of $858 for the upcoming school supplies year.
