State Sen. Romaine Quinn is blasting the closure of a fish hatchery in Northern Wisconsin.
Quinn, in a press release last week, said the DNR will close the Brule State Fish Hatchery, despite the Joint Finance Committee approving nearly $3 million for fish stocking, fish habitat management and fisheries monitoring.
The Brule hatchery provides fish stock for walleye, musky and trout.
