MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — Wisconsin US Senator Tammy Baldwin wants to know why the mail is so slow.
Baldwin has written a letter to the Postmaster General with questions about long-term delays and staffing shortages at post offices across Wisconsin. Week long delays have been reported in Madison and Brown Deer, in the Milwaukee area.
Baldwin says the delays affect local businesses, newspapers and Wisconsin families who rely on the Postal Service for prescriptions, bills and voting.
The Madison Democrat expressed her frustration on the matter as she has reached out to the US Postal Service before about mail delivery issues.
