FREDERIC, Wis. (WJMC) — A bomb threat at Fredric High School led to the evacuation of all students and staff from the building Tuesday afternoon.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said a caller just before 1 p.m. Tuesday said there was a bomb in the school. Police notified the district immediately. After the evacuation, bomb detection K9s swept the building and area and no explosive devices were found.
The investigation is ongoing into the source of the threat made to the school and more information will be released at a later date.
Authorities said classes were set to resume today, and additional law enforcement officers will be at the school.
